Successful Leaders for Successful Schools

With an increased emphasis on developing talented school leaders, what are states doing to build pipelines for identifying, recruiting and retaining these leaders? A recent report from NASBE in partnership with the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) examines the problem from a state policy perspective. The report offers a framework, guidance, and resources to help states develop and keep effective leaders; provides examples of promising practices for rural schools; and shares insights from partner organizations.
