Podcast: Transparency and Projected College Closings

The two founders of Edmit, Sabrina Manville and Nick Ducoff, discuss their projections of the financial collapse of certain colleges and universities and their goal of helping families consider financial fit along every step of the process of selecting a college.

Ducoff elaborates, “We are talking about real people who are being marketed to, are enrolling at, and then matriculating to institutions that may very possibly close while they are enrolled with no protections whatsoever to the student….We have a college and persistence and attainment problem in this country. And the students oftentimes finding themselves having difficulty to complete are likely to be the same students that may find themselves literally out of a college half-way through.”
