Podcast: The Hybrid University in a Post-Covid World

Listen to the Podcast

Marni Baker Stein, provost and chief academic officer at Western Governors University talks with FutureU podcast hosts Jeff Selingo and Michael B. Horn about how they had to rethink their services and offerings to students in this virtual environment. As a rapidly growing exclusively online institution, Western Governors University could be a roadmap for traditional institutions in what could be a new hybrid world post Covid-19.

“We need more institutions to organize around the learner of the future,” Baker Stein said. “For those that don’t, I don’t think the future is very bright because not only are they not going to be able to deal with COVID, but they won’t be able to deal with the reality of the future of education.”
