WEBINAR: Women’s Economic Empowerment Through Educational Attainment

In the fall of 2021, women represented 58 percent of enrolled students at degree-granting postsecondary institutions, with 67 percent of those women attaining a bachelor’s degree in 6 years. Attaining a postsecondary degree, especially for women, is linked with higher earnings when compared to those without a postsecondary degree. However, despite rising participation in the work force and more women with degrees, women are still only earning 84% of what men earn, and this number is even lower for Black and Latina women. This webinar will discuss the scope of these issues and elaborate on promising practices in promoting the economic empowerment of women and non-binary individuals.
