WEBINAR: Starting Early to Boost Success: State Investments in Early Alignment & Accountability

When the 2024 NAEP scores were released, Louisiana was one of the few states to show improvement since 2019, rising from 42nd to 16th in fourth-grade reading. This progress is attributed to efforts to align and strengthen the state's early childhood education system, among other strategies. Louisiana’s success underscores the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading’s commitment to reducing disparities in school readiness, recognizing that many families lack equitable access to early learning, health care, and support services. This GLR Week session will highlight Louisiana’s progress and feature leaders from Arizona, Hawaii, and Oregon who are working to build seamless early learning systems and strengthen accountability for young children and their families.
