EVENT: Restoring Excellence in Virginia: Governor Glenn Youngkin’s Education Legacy

Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia has emerged as a nationally recognized leader in education. Building on his 2021 gubernatorial victory, which centered on parental rights, Governor Youngkin has moved aggressively to advance K–12 and higher education. He pushed to reopen schools during COVID-19, signed legislation giving parents more transparency and control over curricular materials, advanced bipartisan history standards, and appointed dozens of hard-charging reformers to public university boards. What should we make of Governor Youngkin’s legacy? In this public event with AEI’s Robert Doar and Frederick M.
