A Teacher’s Message to His Students on the Coronavirus—By Rap

The San Miguel School is an independent, tuition-free Catholic middle school that educates 90 low-income Latino boys in grades 6 through 8 in Washington, D.C. The school places its students in the Washington area’s top high schools, and 100 percent graduate. San Miguel, like all schools right now, has transitioned to remote learning and is working hard to keep its students engaged and learning. To keep it fun, teacher Tim Foley recently wrote the attached rap to the seventh-grade students in his Miguel class, a daily values-driven session with a social emotional learning component.
