FutureEd Senior Fellow Tiffany Jones directs the Education Trust's higher education policy team, supporting equity- and student-centered accountability and affordability policies at the state and federal levels. She is the former director of higher education policy at the Southern Education Foundation, where she partnered with Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions to advance student success. She is the author of Can Equity be Bought? Outcomes Based Funding for Racial Equity and has written for both academic and policy publications on the impact of higher education policies and practices on low-income students and students of color. She is a former dean’s fellow at the Center for Urban Education at the University of Southern California, where she earned a doctorate in urban education policy.
